Employment Program
This program prepares recent immigrant and refugee high school students (grades 10-12) to develop necessary skills required to start employment. The program includes employment preparation workshops, training, and help getting workplace experience with Manitoba employers.
There are three programs for newcomer youth who are interested in finding a job in Canada.
Stream 1: Career Driven Internship
This program helps newcomers who are in high school prepare for and find a career when they are finished school.
Stream 2: Hospitality (A&W)
This program provides opportunities for students who have limited or no Canadian work experience, and who are interested in working in the hospitality industry.
Stream 3: Individual Career Coaching & Work Placement
This program is ongoing and runs all year. It is for students who do not need or want to be in a structured program and may have various employment needs.
